Linuxbrew is a linux port of homebrew, the MacOS package manager. The goal of linuxbrew is to make it easier for people to install software on their home computer. It accomplishes this by making packages available that are built for multiple versions of Linux. Also, by default, packages are installed in your home directory without needing root access on your systems.

It's also the name of the community using this platform to create products for cloud providers who want to compete by offering robust software-defined infrastructure.
