Linuxbrew is a linux port of homebrew, the MacOS package manager. The goal of linuxbrew is to make it easier for people to install software on their home computer. It accomplishes this by making packages available that are built for multiple versions of Linux. Also, by default, packages are installed in your home directory without needing root access on your systems.
Xubuntu is a community developed distribution for desktops and laptops based on the lightweight Xfce desktop environment. Xubuntu is an elegant and easy to use operating system. At its core, it's solid and minimalist. In addition, Xubuntu is fully customizable with hundreds of themes to choose from, along with different modifications for the Openbox window manager.
