Maven Central Repository is a repository provided by Maven community. It contains a large number of commonly used libraries which are mostly 3rd party software. When Maven does not find any dependency in local repository, it starts searching in central repository using following URL. Maven makes it easy to find and use libraries in your multi-module projects. Maven Central Repository assists you in locating and using components from major libraries. If an artifact is not present in the local repository, the central repository can be reached through a custom proxy configuration.
